Thank you! I doubt I would be able to even make a reservation in Japanese. I'm not very good with keigo, therefore cannot really understand their speech so well. Sometimes I just wish Japanese is as simple and plain as English. 今から頑張ります！

Yeah, speaking on the phone is difficult in Japan, especially when making bookings. They always seem to use a lot of unneccessary vocab which I try to cut out and just listen for the info I really need. Then I repeat back what I think I heard until they confirm it. It does feel really good when you make a reservation or something.

Good effort on your part. Keep doing it and you'll get used to knowing what you need to listen to and what you can just ignore.

１３番は、「かす」ではなくて、ほんとうに「かず」なのでしょうか？
それから、１４番、「いりぎり」って、どこの言葉ですか？ものすごい最近のはやりの若者言葉だから、私が知らないだけなのでしょうか？聞いたことがありません。ググってみたけど、何にもヒットしないし・・・。
「ごっちゃごっちゃ」じゃなくて、「ごちゃごちゃ」じゃないかな？？
「へばい」も、「へぼい」じゃなくてほんとうに「へばい」？？

Wow looks kinda high-tech haha! Maybe it's secretly a decepticon or something and they've thought of everything, since there's this fake flushing sound haha! cover up the unecessary sounds by masking it with the fake flushing sounds I did get a bidet but it's not as fancy or as high tech as this one. I got mine here : http://products.mercola.com/toilet-bidet/ but this is better than some of the bidets that I've seen, where the knob is right behind the toilet (really inconvenient)

Yes, I think it's creazy to test your body endurance with such prize. But we need to be creazy from time to time. Though NY is not on my list as a place must see, I would also be excited if I have chance. of cuourse, not on New Year's Eve.
